Cause of Snoring: What Makes One to Snore?

The unwanted noise that disturbs your sleep is the result of the obstruction to the flow of air. When the air faces obstructions while passing through the areas in the back of mouth and nose it results in the troublesome noise. When there is a vibration while breathing it results in snoring. The vibration is caused when the upper throat and tongue meets the uvula and the soft palate.

For a person who snores the muscles in the throat will be too relaxed because of over consumptions of alcohol or sedatives. Over consumption of drugs makes the person sleepy and results in making the muscles to relax. This is why snoring is more heard when one is in a sound sleep.

Too Much Thickness of Throat Tissue

For children who has large tonsils and adenoids and for the persons who are overweight snoring is seemed to occur. In the case of overweight persons the neck tissue will be too much. Bulky cysts or tumors also can be the cause of snoring; however this symptom is rarely seen.

When the soft palate and the uvula result in narrowing from the nose to the throat and by dangling it acts like that of a noise flutter valve when the person is relaxed. In most of the cases it is the long uvula that worsens the problem of snoring. Blocked or stuffy nose that results in the obstruction of the airway makes the person to snore. When the airway is obstructed, the person is made to breath harder and results in snoring because of the vacuum that is created.

Random Sleeping Tip
It is really important that we have a proper environment to sleep at night. There are a lot of people saying that they are unable to sleep and that can be because they lack the proper environment to sleep in and that can be related to the presence of light in the room or the light entering your room from a distant source of light. Therefore it is really important that you keep your room free from light and that will initiate sleep at a very fast pace.

For a person who has hay fever or who is prone to sinus infection snoring is seemed to occur. Irregularities of the nose or the nasal septum like a distortion in the wall that separates one nostril from the other can also result in snoring. These all causes obstruction in the airflow.

In most of the cases the main cause of snoring will be because of common colds, aging, allergies, stuffy noses, tonsillitis, obstructive sleep apnea, sleep apnea, alcohol and drug consumption, obesity, nasal polyps, deviated septum, picwickian syndrome and sedative use.
